8. General Information

8.1. Colleague Newsletter A Colleague Newsletter will be issued through the Human Resources Division periodically. The purpose of the magazine is to keep all employees informed of what is happening within the Hotel and to provide professional knowledge. Colleagues are welcome to submit articles for this magazine. 8.2. Performance Appraisal All employees will be subject to performance appraisal twice a year by their Leaders/ Managers. The aim of the appraisal is to evaluate, appreciate and encourage the development of the performance. 8.3. Colleague Communication Channels We provide open communication channels for employee to give suggestions and voice issues of their concern. Various communication programs are used to receive feedback from the employees. Employees may refer to the notice board situated in the B5 tunnel for details of the programs. 8.4. Employees Grievance & Grievance Procedure It is an accepted norm from time to time in any organization, misunderstandings and differences of opinion do occur. If that happens following are the step by step guidelines for having the same issue addressed or resolved. Step # 1: Your immediate supervisor is the first person you should approach to resolve them. Step # 2: If the problem still persists then you should approach your Department leader Head. Step # 3: If the problem yet remains unresolved and you are still unsatisfied with the outcome at the second stage, the Department Head should approach the Human Resources Department to discuss the matter further. All grievances should be listened to in an attentive and courteous manner and the matters discussed must be dealt with strictest confidence. If deemed necessary by the colleague, the problem may be discussed directly with the General Manager or the Director of Human Resources. To make sure all problems are resolved as quickly as possible, notification should be given to the relevant employee within 48 hours and the situation resolved within 21 business days.
