If you prefer skateboarding or BMX, the Oklahoma City metro features three skate parks, including Mat Hoffman Action Sports Park , complete with an 11-foot half pipe, a 10-foot over-vert pocket, a street course and a bowl course. For more options, be sure to check out Route 66 Skate Court and South Lakes Skate Park , open daily from dawn to 11 p.m. With so many days of sunshine, it’s no surprise that golf is a favorite way to enjoy the outdoors in Oklahoma City. The Modern Frontier boasts five public golf courses with varying degrees of difficulty. They are distributed throughout the city, so you shouldn’t have any trouble finding a good place to tee off. Lincoln Park has two courses that will challenge you, and Trosper Golf Club is described as the fastest playing course in OKC. If you’ve already played a full round on the aforementioned courses, be sure to give the James E. Stewart Golf Course , the Lake Hefner Golf Club or the Earlywine Golf Course a try.

This large, grassy park provides plenty of room for your furry friend to run, socialize and explore.
