HOME RUNS & HALL OF FAMERS Home to the Triple-A affiliate of the L.A. Dodgers, the Oklahoma City Comets celebrate opening day in April. With approximately 70 home games each season, there are plenty of opportunities to watch future big leaguers in action at the Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. The OKC Comets line up a season full of specialty nights, plus group or single ticket packages. The Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark also houses the Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame , which honors outstanding Oklahoma athletes such as MLB legend Mickey Mantle and three-time Super Bowl Champion and NFL Hall of Fame inductee Troy Aikman. A statue of Olympic gold medalist Jim Thorpe adorns the outside of the museum, with even more intriguing Oklahoma sports history and memorabilia inside. Learn about the Jim Thorpe Award given to the top defensive back in NCAA Division I college football, as well as the Aeneas Williams Award for the top defensive back in HBCU Division I college football. This is also home to the Warren Spahn Award, given annually to the best left- handed pitcher in Major League Baseball. To top it off, museum admission is free!
