Districts on the Rise BRITTON DISTRICT

The Britton District is one of OKC’s latest areas being revived by a group of business owners and passionate

neighbors working to preserve a stretch of Britton Road along historic Route 66. This area boasts vibrant murals, vintage boutiques and live music. Not to mention tasty eats ranging from coffee, beer and even a distillery to Southwest cuisine and more.

Several revitalization projects are underway, including a newly opened Plaza Calle Dos Cinco for community and cultural celebrations.

EAST END DISTRICT The East End District in northeast OKC is undergoing vibrant redevelopment, preserving African

American art and culture. Its expanding food scene includes Florence’s Restaurant, the state’s first James Beard Award winner, along with Polk House and Scrambl’d. Visitors can enjoy street festivals like Juneteenth on the East or Homecoming Weekend and explore local retail offerings.
