LOCAL ARTISTS For multiple years, Oklahoma City has been recognized as the nation’s best city for street art by USA Today. New compositions and the freshest works can be found just around the corner, literally. Each district has its fair share. You can find them along the Bricktown canal, in our underpasses, adorning businesses and beautifying back alleyways. Beyond murals, you will find beautiful sculptures and engaging interactive public art installations punctuating the urban landscape. In the historic Deep Deuce district, you can find ARTSPACE at Untitled . With a passion for engaging with their community in a collaborative, creative experience, local artists share unique ways to connect visitors with the arts. Whether through community gatherings, workshops or their one-of-a-kind exhibitions, ARTSPACE engages local artists with visitors by finding new ways to connect the creative community with the greater community in which it dwells. With two exhibiting galleries, an artist in residence and nearly a dozen studio artists, something is always happening at the Paseo Arts & Creativity Center . First Fridays in Paseo are a great time to catch their monthly rotating exhibitions, and the center is open throughout the week for a more leisurely experience as well. While almost every district across the city is home to practicing studio artists, nowhere in the metro are there more studio artists and artist galleries concentrated in one place than in the Paseo Arts District. Here you can meet and interact with artists in their studios and galleries.
