GLOBAL CUISINE Beginning in 2018, the rest of the country began to take notice of Oklahoma City’s food scene thanks to Bon Appetit awarding Nonesuch the honorific of “Best New Restaurant in the U.S.” The Oklahoma City Thunder had already begun catching the national media spotlight, and Nonesuch’s triumph gave people another reason to notice OKC.
Truthfully, though, Oklahoma City has been a food city for decades, with restaurants dishing out food from dozens of ethnicities and nationalities. Following is a sampling of some of our city’s best dining spots representing five continents – sorry, Antarctica and Australia. More than 40 nations are represented in our dining scene, and if you include regionally specific cuisine (e.g., Sonora, Durango, Baja, etc.), that number expands to more than 50 regionally specific options.
