For mains, try the chicken-fried rib eye, shrimp and smoked cheddar grits topped with poached eggs or fried oyster Benedict. Next door, sister restaurant Stella Modern Italian Cuisine is sleek, chic and delicious. Try the Stella Benedict, two poached eggs atop a prosciutto- topped mushroom polenta cake, all slathered in Hollandaise, one of many excellent eggy choices. Plenty of heartier, lunchier fare, too! Cheever’s Café has been an anchor of Uptown OKC for decades. EASY LIKE SUNDAY MORNING OKC’s Plaza District was made for a languid brunch. You’ll love Aurora (all day brunch!) for its knife & fork biscuit – Tilamook cheddar, sausage, egg and cream gravy, salted caramel cinnamon rolls and humble yet perfect potato cabbage hash. Saunter into The Jones Assembly , housed in a former Ford Motor Company assembly plant for a lazy, delectable brunch and one of their famous Frosé cocktails, a grownup slushy made of rosé, gin, lemon and strawberry and served frozen. Pair it with something hearty like the chilaquiles breakfast burrito, filled with chorizo, scrambled eggs, tortilla strips, avocado crema, pico and queso fresca. Be sure to build a post-brunch nap into your day plan. Café Kacao is where the locals go. Coffee drinks here are brilliant and so are the cocktails and mocktails, like the La Casa Verde – rum, cantaloupe, lemon, mint and cucumber bitters. The Cuban omelette is a crowd pleaser – it’s stuffed with shole black beans and Monterrey jack cheese and topped with tender-crisp shredded beef and onions. The crème brulee lava French toast is brioche bread, with passion fruit sauce, fresh fruit and whipped cream. You literally can’t go wrong, so try something exciting!
