Der Sessel Tivoli hat eine Form, die mit Holz bisher nur schwer herzustellen war. Er ist aus FUREMA gefertigt, einem nachhaltigen Material, das zu ca. 60% aus Reishülsen besteht und darüber hinaus 100% witterungsbeständig und thermoverformbar ist. Diese Thermoverformbar- keit macht es möglich, dass die Sitzschale mit ihren vielen verschiedenen Biegungen in einem Produktionsprozess hergestellt wird. Die Sitzschale passt sich der individuellen Körperform an und bietet dadurch einen hervorragenden Sitzkomfort.
MBM Tivoli - Seat Shell Design of a New Dimension
The shape of the Tivoli arm chair was previously difficult to produce with wood. The Tivoli arm chair, however, consists of FUREMA, a sustainable material that contains about 60% rice husks and is 100% weather-resistant and thermoformable. Thermo moldability enables manufacturing of the seat shell, with its many different bends, in one production process - welds or other joints are a thing of the past. The seat shell adapts to the individual body shape, gives way a little and thus offers excellent seating comfort.
