Ah, summer in Pearland . . . I always look forward to this time of year. Sunshine, green grass and tons of activities abound throughout the community. I am especially excited about this summer because we’re finally seeing some signs of normalization coming out of the pandemic. Our in-person events are bigger and better than ever. Because of ongoing health concerns, our residents can engage in new and easier ways to

participate virtually as well. We are still learning what the “new normal” looks like—What kind of events do our residents want? How do we leverage technology to maximize our effectiveness? How do we continue to plan and build with supply chain challenges? The fact of the matter is that we have a lot to be thankful for and genuine reasons to be optimistic about the bright future ahead for the City of Pearland. This community is special, resilient, diverse and inclusive . . . and it’s because you’ve chosen to make Pearland your home. We agree it is THE community of choice. So, thank you for choosing Pearland and for the opportunity to let us build a community you are proud of. I look forward to seeing you all out and about.
