Mrs Blair was also awarded Most Popular Administrative Professional Nominee for the Faculty. Ms Carlo Hall and Mr Daniel Gillings were awarded for Excellence in the Provision of Support Services and Technical Services, respectively. Dr Peter Nelson received the SRC Young Scientist/Technologist award (2022) for his work and potential contribution to Jamaica’s development, particularly as it relates to his ground-breaking invention of sensors for detecting metal ions in the human body. Dr Nelson also received the Governor-General’s Achievement Award (GGAA) for Excellence for the parish of St Thomas, in recognition of his significant achievements and leadership. In addition, Dr Nelson received an award from the FST for his col- laborative work on the “LifeSavers Wipes” project, winner of the Global Innovation Award. Several staff member were recipients of the Principal’s Research Awards, namely: Dr Andrea Goldson-Barnaby (Most Outstanding Researcher (A/Y 2020, 2021), Dr Peter Nelson (Most Outstanding Researcher (A/Y 2020, 2022), Profes- sor Paul Reese (co-author Best Research Publication, FMS 2021), Dr Roy Porter (co-author Best Research Publication 2022), and Dr Novelette Sadler-McKnight (Research Project with the Greatest Multi-Disciplinary Collaboration 2020).
