The department through the student societies (UWI Geological Society, UWI Geographical Society and YouthMappers) promote the department and the geosciences at large both on and off campus. The department has carried out minor upgrades with plans for major upgrades in the upcoming academic year to improve the student teaching and learning expe- rience.
