March 22, 2023 . • Dr. Shaneica Lester attended GlobalSCAPE: Global Relevance in Science Communication Workshop on February 10, 2023. The workshop is part of the Horizon 2020 GlobalSCAPE Project – funded by the European Union The workshop was focused on raising and building the capacity of the science communicators about differences in audience and context when planning and delivering science communication. The workshop presented an opportunity to assess gaps in science communication locally and globally and solutions to some of the barriers to effective science communication. • Dr Patrice Pinder “East meets west: A candid talk on the pros and cons of using standardized tests as assessment tools of students in mathematics and science; globally, what appears to work and not work?” Invited Presentation Given at The 1st Standard-based Assessment and Evidence-based Research (SAER) International Conference (Hybrid), Jiangsu University, Zhenjiang, China (Virtual) [International Visibility–China].
