staff, as well as regional and international partners. The workshops allowed the IGDS to reach a regional community of learners in line with the ‘One UWI’ man- date and also fulfilled one of the recommendations from the IGDS Governance Task Force Report. STUDENT ACHIEVEMENTS IGDS-RCO graduate students continued to excel academically throughout the reporting period. Four (4) students/graduates received scholarships, and interna- tional recognition as follows: • Mr. Orlando Pearce – Catherine James Scholarship recipient and Erasmus+ and GRÓ Gender Equality Studies and Training (GRÓ GEST) scholarship for the GRÓ GEST postgraduate diploma programme in International Gender Equality Studies, which he completed in May 2023. • Ms. Nattecia Bohardsingh was selected as one of four women globally in the Women PeaceMakers Fellowship 2022–2023, hosted by the Kroc Institute for Peace and Justice at the University of San Diego. • Dr. Nadeen Spence – was the recipient of the Perry World House Visitorship at the University of Pennsylvania for AY2022/2023. The programme brought together policy and thought leaders from across the world to build connections with faculty and students at the University of Pennsylvania, and to help shape the work of their research themes. They were also expected to share their per- spectives on global policy issues. • Linnet Reid – Cotutelle scholarship recipient from the University of Luxem- bourg, to pursue a joint PhD with the IGDS, UWI and University of Luxembourg. PUBLICATIONS During the AY, the staff continued to work at increasing its output and impact of research and publication to inform policy making nationally and throughout the Caribbean.
