MEMORANDA OF UNDERSTANDING The IGDS-RCO activated MOUs reflecting North-South and South-South part- nerships. IGDS-RCO sought opportunities to collaborate with other academic institutions whose ethos align with the IGDS and The UWI’s, and which would benefit both students and staff. The following were Memoranda of Understanding which were negotiated during the reporting period: MOU with Human Science Research Council – Cape Town: This 3–5 year part- nership for research, policy and publications were negotiated during AY2022/2023, Semester 2. A joint seminar on ‘Gender–Based Violence in the Caribbean and South African Regions’ was held in February 13, 2023 under the MOU. The documents were submitted to the legal teams of The UWI and The Human Sciences Research Council for final review and signatures. MOU with University of Iceland (Erasmus Agreement) and The UWI: This Agree- ment allows for staff to participate in collaborative meetings, public fora and educa- tion on gender and development matters. Dr. Dalea Bean visited the University of Iceland under the Agreement, from April 11–23, 2023. She participated in training sessions and met with her counterparts at the University of Iceland. She also met with IGDS-RCO student Orlando Pearce who was selected for the Erasmus+ and GRÓ Gender Equality Studies and Training (GRÓ GEST) scholarship. He partic- ipated and graduated from the GRÓ GEST postgraduate diploma programme in International Gender Equality Studies, held from January to May 2023. MOU with University of Luxembourg : The IGDS/UWI entered this partnership with the University of Luxembourg for joint PhDs, supervision, seminars, and joint lectures. During the reporting period, one PhD candidate Linnet Reid received joint supervision in Gender, vulnerability, and Climate resilience. Dr Natasha Mortley also delivered a guest lecture virtually in the RISE-RISC Doctoral School, Uni- versity of Luxembourg’s Summer School in September 2022. Lecture: “Caribbean Migration and Development – Comparative Sustainable Regional Integration.”

PAPERS PRESENTED Professor Diana Fox:

• Chaired, and presented the opening welcome talk on Transnational Feminist Partnerships at the 9th World Conference on Women’s Studies 2023, held in Thailand from May 11–12, 2023. • Presented a virtual talk titled: “Stories are Everywhere: An Anthropological Lens into Folkloric Analysis” for The English Lyceum’s Inaugural Session, Calcutta University, India.
