AGILITY
INCOME GENERATION During the AY, the IGDS – RCO continued to generate income from the MSc self-financing programme, and from projects and consultancies as follows: − UNDP Spotlight Initiative Project: Legislative Reform to Eliminate Violence against Women and Girls and Family Violence in Jamaica – USD45,000. − Sponsorship for the visit of the United Nations Special Rapporteur on Indigenous − Peoples Issues – USD30,000. − UNDP Spotlight Initiative Caribbean Regional Programme: Strengthening Regional Cooperation to Prevent and Respond to Family Violence in the Carib- bean – USD 49,995.00. − US Public Diplomacy Small Grants Project: Work – USD 24,000. − UNESCO Caribbean Sheroes Initiative (CSI) Phase 2 (Advocacy Training) Project – USD 7,500. − USAID Positive Pathways Activity in Jamaica – JMD 1, 200,000. CONCLUSION During the AY, the IGDS – RCO made significant progress across the key pillars of the Triple A Strategy, which resulted in significant movements in ‘regionality’ in teaching, research, and outreach. The academic, administrative, and support staff are to be commended for their work to advance the mandate of the Institute and The UWI.
