STRATEGIC PLAN 2022–2027 The Library’s Strategic Plan is a supporting pathway on the University’s roadmap to realizing the Triple A Strategy: Revenue Revolution, and so supports, facilitates and partners in the teaching, learning, research and scholarship of the UWI community. The Library’s Strategic Goals for 2022–2027 are to: • Employ digital strategies to facilitate ‘Digital Transformation’ and organiza- tional effectiveness. • Facilitate scholarship and research through responsive collections and services. • Champion learning and collaboration with stakeholders – students, staff and community. • Strengthen our culture of staff growth and engagement through mindful lead- ership, targeted development programmes, staff recognition and support. Highlights of the achievements for the year under review are: Digital Transformation – for efficiency of processes • WhatsApp web implemented to enhance customer interaction • Decentralised scanning fully implemented • Increase in digitisation rate of 44% • 1900 pages of exam papers scanned • Two new collections uploaded for access via Contentdm & UWISPACE • Total of 60 collections accessible to Library patrons Collections and Scholarly Communications – to facilitate and accelerate scholarship and learning through responsive collections • Harvesting Open Access materials – 31 titles from Cambridge University Press and 105 from Taylor & Francis (available via UWILinC) • Two (2) curated special collections – Peter Abrahams Collection and P.J. Patterson Speeches, uploaded to ArchivesSpace • Research Possibilities Programme developed – pilot launched with Peter

Abrahams Collection Finding Aid and Digital Collection. Learning and Engagement – to facilitate expanded literacies • Teaching module for Foundation courses adapted • Audit of student needs via LibQual Survey completed • Library Research Committee re-established
