PUBLIC SERVICE

Outreach and Engagement/Activism and Public Advocacy Colleagues engaged in outreach activities and advocacy initiatives within and beyond the institution. Within the institution, colleagues presented to students in other departments (Bamikole, Devarakonda, Dwyer Evans, Lawrence, Lingo, Omosulu, Powell-McArthur, Sewell-Ayton), presented in Orientation of New Staff (Milson-Whyte) and served on committees (such as Ethics, Quality Assurance, Valedictorian Selection, WIGUT) across the campus (Farquharson, Harry, Jones, Messam, Milson-Whyte, Minott, Omosulu, Wilkins Miller). Some colleagues reviewed materials, gave presentations and facilitated workshops in other insti- tutions (Ababio, Cumberbatch, Dean, Dwyer Evans, Dyche, Farquharson, Heron, Jones, Messam, Milson-Whyte, Morgan, O’Connor-Brown, Sewell-Ayton, Walters); some gave public service via church organisations (Lingo, Minott, Morgan, Wal- ters); some judged competitions (Farquharson, Morgan) while others discussed disciplinary and societal issues on radio/television programmes (Devarakonda, Farquharson, Omosulu).
