SUMMER ACTIVITY, 2022/2023 – INCOME GENERATION Members of the DLIS are actively involved in the staging of the 2023 Conference of the Association of College, University, Research and Institutional Libraries (ACU- RIL). This conference took place at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel, between June 4–8, 2023, under the theme: “Innovation: Opportunities and Challenges in Libraries, Museums and Archives of the Caribbean.” The expectation is that a contribution will be made to the DLIS Endowment Fund to help needy DLIS students. DLIS/Go-School of Information, in the Netherlands, through a collaborative effort, will hosted Summer Institute, 2023. This was offered fully online, between June 13–15, 2023, under the theme, “AI in Information services – Implications, Applica- tions and Added Value.” This Summer Institute aimed at bringing together profes- sionals from various fields to discuss and explore the impact of AI on information services. DLS short course. “An Introduction to the Implementation of Data Protection” was held on June 21–22, 2023. It was a 4 module, 12 hour course. The intention is to develop the content into a full course which will be offered as an elective at the graduate level.
