Salary:

Up to £60,000 p.a. inclusive of a market supplement

Contract:

Permanent contract, subject to a probationary period of six months

Hours:

Full-time position (37 hours per week). Alternative working patterns may be considered.

Location:

Nottingham. Flexible working options available.

Holiday:

35 days + Bank Holidays and University closure days

Job purpose:

To provide a complete project management service from inception and completion of building projects including new build, alterations, and refurbishment. The post holder will be required to take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of projects directly (on smaller projects) or through coordination of a consultant project managers (on large projects).

Principal duties and responsibilities: The role will encompass all of the following, but the balance of duties and responsibilities will be determined in discussion with the post holder’s line manager:

Principal Duties:

1. Manage projects in accordance with the Estates Project Deliver System (EPDS) and NTU policies at all times. 2. Take and develop effective Briefs for projects including all stakeholder requirements. 3. Undertake Options Studies and Feasibility Studies to inform Business Cases and obtain approvals to proceed. 4. Establish project plans and programmes from inception to completion, taking account of all aspects of projects. Monitor and update plans and programmes throughout the life of the project. 5. Establish a suitable project team including the appointment of relevant consultants and manage project teams including the appointment of the necessary consultants in accordance with NTU procurement policies. 6. Act as the interface between the project team and NTU in connection with all matters associated with the project including organising and managing all internal stakeholder engagement. 7. Lead NTU Soft Landings Framework on projects and ensure all liaison takes places as set out therein. 8. Manage the production of designs, specifications, and other information as necessary for tendering and the construction of the project.
