9. Ensure all aspects of the projects are sufficiently designed, detailed, and documented to meet all relevant NTU standards and requirements, current legislation, and health and safety standards. 10. In accordance with NTU procurement policies and procedures, prepare and obtain tenders or quotes, as necessary. 11.Manage the preparation of budgets and cost plans. Ensure adequate cost control measures are in place and provide and regular budget updates. 12.Monitor project programmes and provide regular updates on progress and delays, including comparing planned and actual cash flow. 13. Identify project risks and agree and manage appropriate mitigation measures. 14. Ensure high standards of quality are achieved on every project. 15.Monitor the performance of the contractor and professional team and agree and implement corrective action where required. 16.Manage and undertake where necessary inspection of standards of workmanship and materials to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications. 17. Ensure all projects are fully commissioned prior to Practical Completion and the Health and Safety File, as-built drawings, operating, and maintenance manuals are completed and signed off internally and guarantees etc are provided. 18. Ensure effective and smooth handover of buildings to end-users and Estates Operations including induction training for the end users and maintenance staff. 19. Arrange and oversee the migration of end users into the new building/spaces. 20. Participate in Post Project Reviews and Post Occupancy Evaluations on projects.
N.B. The post-holder may be required to undertake any other duties which may reasonably be required as within the nature of the duties and responsibilities of the post as defined, subject to the proviso that normally any changes of a permanent nature shall be incorporated into the job description in specific terms.
