Triple D Cattle Co - Annual Gelbvieh Bull & Female Sale [2/16/26]

I kept most of my heifers in 2025 with the intention to breed and offer some on the sale. I have thought about how to make this work and after a lot of deliberation I took a gate cut of both the registered and commercial heifers. I wanted to be able to offer heifers that were not just the “second string”. Bulls were turned in on June 15th with the plan to have a 45 day breeding window. However things did not go as planned and the cows and heifers ended up being mixed with a few different attempts to sort them. With that being said, the first 21 days of the breeding cycle the heifers were with the heifers bulls. After that they were exposed to the bulls that were in the pasture with the cows as well. I do believe with the size of my heifers you will not have any prob- lem when it comes to calving them out. The other important note about the heifers is that they were not bangs vaccinated due to the shortage of vac- cine and age restrictions to administer this vaccine. Following is the health requirements for movement of cattle. Brucellosis (Bangs) Vaccination Notice for Female Cattle Most states allow the entry of Bangs - unvaccinated female cattle , with the exceptions and conditions outlined below. States Requiring Additional testing Connecticut, Hawaii, Maine, and Utah These states require a negative brucellosis test completed within 30 days prior to entry for any unvaccinated female. States Allowing Entry Under Specific Criteria Idaho, Washington, and Wyoming These states may allow entry of Bangs - unvaccinated females under defined conditions . Buyers must contact their state’s animal health authority before purchasing unvaccinated females to confirm eligibility and required procedures. · Idaho Animal Industries Division: (208) 332 - 8500 · Washington State Department of Agriculture: (360) 902 - 1878 · Wyoming Livestock Board: (307) 777 - 7515 State Not Allowing Entry Nevada does not permit the entry of any Bangs - unvaccinated female cattle
