“Proverbs 3:5-6 says this: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths.” My word of wisdom for you is trust. Trust in the good and gracious God who sent His Son to restore a relationship with you. Trust in the sovereignty of the Lord who sees you and knows your future. Trust in God who is a man of His Word and will always love you. Cast yourself in full dependence into the arms of a trustworthy Father. In doing so, you will find life abundant.”

“We will always make time for what is important to us.
As we look at Christ’s life in the Gospels, one of the things that sticks out is how often He prioritized time alone with the Father. If Christ made this a priority, how much more should we? Billy Graham was asked if he had any regrets in life, and he said yes. He wished he had spent more time praying and studying the Bible and less time traveling and taking speaking engagements. He also said he wished he had spent more time telling the Lord how much he loved Him. You will never regret the time spent alone in His presence, but you will later regret the opportunities you missed with Him. Choose to follow Jesus’ example and spend time with the Father and in His Word. We always make time for what is important to us.”

“Class of 2024! As you graduate, I want to remind you of one of the very first chapels you attended as a student this year. Mr. Brian Baker was speaking on the importance of God’s Word and said, ‘If you don’t make time in God’s Word of first importance, it will be the first thing to go once you leave this place.’ Remember that charge. Staying close to the Word of God is staying close to the God of the Word. Let it be the lamp to walk by and the light to illuminate your path (Psalm 119:105).”
