First Steps in the Year of a Lifetime As early as 9:00 AM on Friday, September 8, students of the 2023/24 school term began registration to officially enter the next year of their lives. Students were greeted with an energized and excited welcoming committee comprised of Leadership students ready and looking forward to serving and learning alongside the rest of the student body. The open house format of registration provided freedom throughout the process, as it gave students a choice to commence the year by moving into the dorms and meeting their new roommates or working through final paperwork and ID photos first. Later in the night, students and their families were invited to attend the Welcome Session where, Don Lough, Jr., the Chancellor of the Bible Institute and the President & CEO of Word of Life Fellowship, introduced the theme of the academic year: resilience. Leading with the question, “What will it take to run and live with resilience this year?” Dr. Lough broke down what a year lived with faithful resilience looks like for a student at the Bible Institute and encouraged students to strive for just that – a life of steadfastness and growth in their relationship with and dependence on the Lord. The evening came to a close with refreshments and fellowship as students prepared for the coming year of learning, stretching, and growing in their relationships with Christ.
