Venetian Delights Based in the fabulous beach resort of Lido di Jesolo, this tour takes in the highlights of northern Italy including Venice, Verona and Lake Garda with a visit to a fabulous prosecco winery!

Day 1 Arrival We arrive at our hotel in time for dinner. Day 2 Lido di Jesolo Driver’s Day Off We spend today relaxing in our lovely coastal resort, exploring the many shops, cafés and restaurants, or taking a stroll along the seafront. Day 3 Venice We take a water bus from Tronchetto to St Mark’s Square in Venice, where we spend the day exploring at leisure. Stunning architecture and a labyrinth of mysterious passageways await as we explore the Grand Canal, the Gothic Doge’s Palace and the Basilicas of San Marco and Santa Maria della Salute. Day 4 Treviso & Villa Sandi We start our day in the walled medieval city of Treviso with free time to explore and enjoy lunch. We then travel towards the Prosecco wine route to visit wine producer, Villa Sandi , set in a vast valley. Here we enjoy a guided visit and tasting. Day 5 Peschiera del Garda & Verona We enjoy a morning visit to Peschiera del Garda, a lovely little town on the southeastern shores of Italy’s largest and perhaps most beautiful lake. We have time to explore and enjoy a relaxing lunch before we head to Verona, city of Romeo and Juliet, to admire the fantastic Roman amphitheatre and elegant shops. Day 6 Departure After breakfast, we begin our journey home.
Day 1 Arrival We arrive at our hotel in time for dinner. Day 2 Morainic Hills of Lake Garda
Today we head into the hills behind the lake, site of the many wars of independence during the 1800s. We stop at San Martino della Battaglia where we meet our half day step-on guide and visit the Ossuary in the little church, before continuing to the town of Solferino and the monument celebrating the creation of the Red Cross. From here we continue to the picturesque setting of Borghetto and then travel to Trattoria da Arturo where a leisurely blow out Italian lunch with plenty of wine awaits. Day 3 Gargnano, Villa Bettoni & Salò We enjoy a scenic drive today, hugging the coastline via San Felice and along the west coast to the elegant resort of Gargnano. We have free time for a coffee and a stroll. Next we take a short drive to embark on a private guided tour of Villa Bettoni and its Italianate gardens. We then enjoy free time for lunch in Salò. Day 4 Manerba del Garda Driver’s Day Off We spend today at leisure. Day 5 Bergamo & Cascina Carretto Today we head west to Bergamo. Accessed by funicular, we enjoy a one-hour guided walking tour of this medieval walled centre, before enjoying time at leisure. In the afternoon, we continue towards Lake Iseo. We visit the fabulous, family-run Cascina Carretto vineyard for a tour and tasting of some of the local wines. Day 6 Departure After breakfast, we begin our journey home. INCLUSIONS
