Taking place in March, our fabulous tour to The Netherlands features a free day in Valkenburg, a visit to Maastricht, one of the oldest cities, and visits to neighbouring Germany and Belgium!
This tour takes us to two popular and charming destinations of Bruges and Ghent each brimming with fascinating and historical sights, remarkable medieval architecture, chocolate shops, canals and cobbled streets.

Day 1 Arrival We arrive at our hotel in time for dinner. Day 2 Valkenburg Today is spent at leisure in Valkenburg, famous for its caves and castle. Day 3 Three Countries Tour Today’s circular driving tour takes in three countries: Germany, Belgium and Holland. We visit Monschau in western Germany then hop over to Belgium to see Liège. This afternoon we enjoy a tasting at the Abbaye Val-Dieu, which houses a brewery and is also known for its cheese. Day 4 Maastricht & Cruise We enjoy a 40 minute city tour of historic Maastricht, travelling by solar train, before boarding a boat for a 50-minute river cruise. Day 5 Departure After breakfast, we begin our journey home.

We spend today in the fascinating city of Ghent with its vibrant, cultural atmosphere. There’s plenty to see including the Castle of the Counts, Ghent Belfry and The Ghent Altarpiece - a great work of art completed in 1432. Day 3 Bruges Today we travel to the historic city of Bruges, a renowned UNESCO World Heritage Site brimming with beautiful buildings, churches and canals. We can explore the striking Markt Square, overlooked by the imposing Belfry Tower, Burg Square and the Town Hall, or enjoy a horse-drawn carriage ride along Bruges’ historic winding streets. Day 4 Departure After breakfast, we begin our journey home. INCLUSIONS • Return short sea crossing
