PACKAGED ITINERARY

Day 1 Embark in Lyon - Avignon We arrive in Lyon and board our ship at 16.00, before cruising to Avignon, enjoying evening entertainment on board. Day 2 Avignon - Arles This morning we enjoy a guided tour of Avignon . One of France’s best-preserved medieval gems, it enjoyed a golden age during the 14th century, when it served as the seat of popes. With a guide, we explore this walled jewel, seeing its monuments, public buildings and churches, including the Papal Palace. Day 3 Arles - Port-Saint-Louis- Martigues Today’s excursion is to the Camargue, an idyllic wetland and marine reserve. Our panoramic guided tour showcases this natural river-delta wilderness, from its rivers, dunes and salt marshes to its pink flamingos, bulls and wild Camargue horses. On route, we visit a ‘manade’ (bull-breeding farm) and watch a demonstration on how a ‘manadier’ works with their animals. This afternoon, we cruise to Martigues, where we have time free to explore before setting off again for Arles. Day 4 Arles - Viviers Today, our guided excursion takes us to Les Baux- de-Provence, a quaint village perched on an outcrop in the Alpilles mountains. We stroll its cobbled streets past its charming stone houses and public buildings, which After a morning of cruising, our afternoon excursion whisks us to Vercors Regional Natural Park , a spectacular Alpine region of cliffs, caves, high plateaus, and mountain pastures famous for its ‘hanging houses’ and wildlife, including chamois, deer and boar. Admire the natural beauty of this mountainous territory and taste some of its beloved Clairette de Die sparkling white wine . Day 6 Disembark in Lyon After breakfast, we disembark at 09.00 and make our way home.
