Our base to explore the area is a lovely beachfront resort with meals and drinks included so you can sit back, relax and enjoy the views. With time to enjoy our resort facilities, we will also visit the glamourous resorts of Cannes, Nice and St Tropez, known for palm lined avenues, stylish promenades, sandy beaches and beautiful Belle Epoque architecture. Day 1 Arrival We arrive at our hotel in time for dinner. Day 2 St Raphael at leisure
Day 4 Nice & Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild This morning, we enjoy time at leisure in Nice to visit the vibrant Old Town with its narrow winding streets, colourful architecture, local shops and above all, lively markets. Most well-known is the fragrant Flower Market. We can also stroll along the famous Promenade des Anglais for beautiful views and known as the heart of the city. After free time for lunch, travel the short distance to visit the Villa Ephrussi situated on the Saint-Jean- Cap-Ferrat peninsula, a magnificent palace surrounded by an impressive nine themed gardens. (Please note that this is a worthwhile, but long day which may need an earlier start and later return than usual). Day 5 St Tropez by Boat This morning, we travel by coach to St Maxime to board our 30-minute one-way boat journey to St Tropez (Old Port). After our boat cruise across the majestic bay and upon arrival at St Tropez, we then have free time for lunch and to explore the iconic Old Port with super-yachts moored up alongside quaint colourful old fishermens’ houses. With numerous cafes, take your pick of where to enjoy lunch with beautiful views of the harbour and look out for a few famous faces too. We will then re-board our coach to return to hotel. Day 6 Departure After breakfast, we make our way home.
We have a day at leisure to enjoy the hotel’s facilities and the nearby beach. Alternatively, we can take a short bus ride into St Raphael to explore the marina, vibrant town centre and the Old Town with its stylish architecture and shops. Close to the port, the 19th-century Basilique Notre-Dame de la Victoire features a pink stone façade & Byzantine-style architecture, it was named in honour of Napoleon’s victory at the Battle of the Nile. Day 3 The Corniche, Cannes and Musee Fragonard We have a relaxing journey this morning to Cannes via the scenic Corniche coastal road with breathtaking views across the Mediterranean Sea. We have time at leisure to explore Cannes with visits to the Croisette, Marina and the famous red carpet! Take your pick from the numerous cafes to enjoy lunch before we leave for the short journey to Grasse. Known for France’s fragrant perfumes and soaps, we visit the Musee Fragonard , a beautiful 19th century factory and one of the country’s oldest, situated in the heart of the old town. We then return to our hotel. (NB: coach parking in Cannes port must be pre-booked in advance and coaches must follow a specific route to access the parking as they are no longer allowed to drive along the Croisette). HOW ABOUT? For a different way to experience the Corniche coastline, why not use the scenic train route from St Raphael to Cannes with the coach meeting the group in Cannes after their visit. Please note this would require a tour manager to accompany the group. Ask your Account Manager.for details.
