We may wish to try out the chairlift (with an optional toboggan ride down!) HOW ABOUT? Why not take a Burgundian Walk for 1.5 to 2 hours with 2 stops along the way. Discover Valkenburg in a unique and flavourful way during a Burgundian city walk! Ask your Account Manager for details. Day 3 Three Countries Tour (Germany, Holland & Belgium!) Today we take in three countries: Germany, Belgium and Holland, passing by the three countries point. We make our way to Germany to visit Monschau, known for its medieval centre. We then head to Belgium, to Liège, where we enjoy free time for lunch. This afternoon we stop at the Abbaye Val-Dieu, now a brewery, where we can enjoy a taste. Day 4 Maastricht & Wine Tasting We travel the short distance to Maastricht, one of the oldest cities in Holland where we can enjoy a 1-hour boat trip on the River Maas before time at our leisure. We then head to Apostelhoeve, where we enjoy a tour of the vineyard and wine tasting. Day 5 Departure After breakfast, we begin our journey home. INCLUSIONS • Return short sea crossing
This morning, we visit Urk, a fishing village situated on the shore of IJsselmeer lake. You will be joined by an experienced local guide, for a walking tour through the narrow ‘ginkies’ (alleys), skirt the historic harbour area, before passing small fishing cottages. Next, we enjoy a guided tour of Schokland Museum . The museum tells the story of a centuries-old location: from the Ice Age to the drainage of the Noordoostpolder. Day 3 Paleis Het Loo Today, we are visiting the stunning 17th-century Paleis Het Loo , originally built for the Dutch Royal family, which is surrounded by breathtaking gardens considered among the finest in Europe. Step inside the rooms once lived in by Willem III and Mary Stuart II and experience a glimpse of royal life. The palace offers two self-guided tours, which feature stories told by various historical characters that bring the rooms and their history to life. Day 4 Museum Batavialand & Batavia Stad Fashion Outlet We begin our morning at Museum Batavia l and in Lelystad and discover the history of Flevoland and the Netherlands.
