COMMUNITY FEEDBACK
The City of Sunrise initiated the process to create its first Strategic Plan to evaluate our current path and plan for the future of the City.
The feedback from the community came from five primary outreach areas: Focus Groups, Surveys, Interviews, Community Meetings, and Visioning Sessions.
The process used to develop the plan was designed to ensure:
City Commission Visioning Session
• A shared vision of the future of the City.
FOCUS GROUPS
SURVEYS
• Clear purposes and shared values.
• A collective understanding of the available resources, the environment, and the principles upon which strategic goals are based.
Community Visioning Sessions
Eight hundred seventy-five responses were received from the community. 875
Five Focus Group Meetings were held with various stakeholders from the community and key City employees.
Community Meetings
• Acceptance of the Strategic Plan, which will be integrated into the City Budget and City operations.
