Flint Group Improves EcoVadis Rating

Flint Group has seen improvement in its EcoVadis rating, which saw a seven-point increase over 2022. EcoVadis is the world’s largest provider of busi- ness sustainability ratings, with a global network of over 85,000 rated companies. EcoVadis’ scoring takes an evidence-based ap- proach to measuring the supply chain sustainability efforts of a given business. Flint Group has improved its Silver Level rating overall to 65 – raising up from 58. A key driver for the improved score is the considerable rise in the company’s Environmental category score from 50 to 70 points. Seeking to support its customers’ sustainability commitments, Flint Group reportedly employs a comprehensive framework focusing on critical en- vironmental, social, and governance aspects of its business activities. Via its products and services, the company is focusing its impact across scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions. In addition, Flint Group is a signatory to the Unit- ed Nations Global Compact, aligning the compa- ny’s operations with the UN’s universal principles on human rights, labour, the environment, and an- ti-corruption. Moreover, the company is focused on aligning with the 17 United Nations Sustainable De- velopment Goals. Mondi Wins RISI PPI Product Innovation Award Mondi, a global provider of sustainable packaging and paper, has won the PPI Award in the Product Innovation category for its Hug&Hold packaging solution. The Fastmarkets Forest Products PPI Awards are reportedly the only global awards dedicated to rec- ognizing the achievements of companies, mills and individuals in the pulp and paper sector. Hug&Hold is a paper packaging solution de- signed and developed to wrap and transport PET beverage bottles, replacing plastic shrink wrap. It is a recyclable 100 percent paper-based solution, comprising a kraft paper sleeve and a corrugated clip to secure the bottles and offer a comfortable handle for transportation. The Product Innovation Award is presented to companies that demonstrate how a newly devel- oped product solves an existing need or problem. The award ceremony took place in the city of Prague, Czechia, on March 8, 2023.
