Custom-made for every milestone, CeCe’s celebration cakes mix creativity, care, and a sprinkle of sisterly magic
the gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegan options they’re often known for. “People sometimes assume that’s all we do,” says Gemma, “but that’s not the case. We excel in allergen- friendly baking, but we also offer a wide range of classic cakes and traybakes for everyone. That deeper understanding of dietary needs comes from personal experience. “My sister is lactose intolerant, and I’ve developed a gluten sensitivity in recent years,” Gemma shares. “It’s definitely opened our eyes. We get what it’s like when you need something that’s safe and delicious.” CeCe’s supplies several businesses, including a wholesale deal in Scotland for their chocolate bars. “Some of our bakes are gluten- free by chance, like our raspberry chocolate bars, and others,like the pistachio version, we’ve adapted really carefully, but either way, there’s no compromise on flavour.” CeCe’s cakes even made their way into the prestigious hospitality
tents during the 2025 Open at Royal Portrush. “Loch Lomond Whiskies ordered a few birthday cakes, and we had a couple of other orders going in as well. We didn’t make it to the golf ourselves, but we still felt like we were part of it!” As for ordering your own showstopper? “As soon as you know something’s coming up, get in touch,” says Gemma. “We’ll hold your place in the book even if you don’t have all the details yet.” And if it’s last-minute? “There’ll always be cupcakes on the counter!” Behind the counter and in the kitchen, the sisters continue to make everything fresh to order, striving to reduce waste and offer the very best quality. “We like to think we’re doing something different,” says Gemma. “At the end of the day, we’re just two sisters trying to bring a bit of joy - and cake - to the Causeway Coast.” 16 Kingsgate Street, Coleraine. www.cecescakesandbakes.co.uk
