The facility also relies on natural gas-fired hot water boilers and efficient heat exchangers throughout the laundering process. “Crothall Laundry Services has given us a model for how sustainable real estate de- velopment thrives when con- nected to key infrastructure systems that enable more efficient operations,” said USGBC CEO and founding chairman Rick Fedrizzi .
“By building its LEED facil- ity at Center Point Intermo- dal, the company has made a significant contribution to greening the supply chain for the healthcare industry.” “Due to our successful col- laboration with Crothall in Milwaukee, we were confident that we’d be able to replicate those results, and sustainabil- ity focus, on the West Coast,” remarked CenterPoint senior vice president of Develop- ment, Edward Harrington . “To have the first CIC-Mante- ca development achieve LEED status is monumental.” n
