At 562,000 s/f Pohatcong Plaza in Phillipsburg, NJ NRDC announces 49,480 s/f of new retail tenancies

HILLIPSBURG, NJ — National Realty & Development Corp. (NRDC) announced that 49,480 s/f of new retail tenan- cies have opened at Pohatcong Plaza in Phillipsburg, New Jersey. Marshalls/HomeGoods and Quaker Steak and Lube have joined the 562,000 s/f shopping center located at the intersection of Rte. 22 and Greenwich Rd., 1/2 of a mile northwest of Interstate-78 off of Exit 3. Marshalls/HomeGoods held their grand openings in late September and occupy 42,430 s/f of a redesigned building where Walmart operated be- fore expanding to a Super- center in NRDC’s adjoining Pohatcong Plaza II. Each store features their own distinct entrance with convenient pass-through access allowing customers to cross shop be- tween the two stores. A 56,000 s/f Hobby Lobby just opened in this building in early July. Quaker Steak and Lube, the motor sports-themed ca- sual dining concept, opened at Pohatcong Plaza II. The new restaurant encompasses a 7,048 s/f design that ac- commodates seating for 298 people and includes a 2,100 s/f heated brickyard patio. Its interior décor features three Harley Davidson motorcycles on display along with a snow- mobile suspended from the ceiling, and a 2014 Camaro SS placed at the entrance. “We thank Pohatcong Town- ship Mayor, James R. Kern and the Pohatcong Planning Board for their support in accommodating our redevel- opment plans for these new tenants,” said John Orrico , president of NRDC. “Pohat- cong Plaza’s exceptional ten- ancy and superior access from busy road networks such as I-78 and Route 22, positions the center as the key regional shopping destination in the area. Shoppers from through- out the region will benefit from the new retail selections and contemporary dining options that are available at Pohatcong Plaza.” Headquartered in Purchase, NewYork, the NRDC portfolio comprises over 22 million s/f of real estate assets, consisting of large retail power centers, grocery-anchored community shopping centers, and cor- porate/ industrial business parks. n P
