U druženje ljubitelja stripo- va i manifestaciju „Her- cegnovski strip festival“ osnovao je 2007. godine likovni umetnik i strip cr- tač Nikola Ćurčin kako bi popularizovao devetu umetnost, ali festival je osmišljen i kao kulturni događaj koji produžava let- nju turističku sezonu. Kroz dosadašnji program prošla je plejada vrsnih strip umetnika, nastu- pao je veliki broj najpoznatijih muzičkih umetnika, a svi programi, kao i do sada, ostaju besplatni. Hercegnovski strip fe- stival svake godine dodatno potvrđuje kvalitet koji ga je u prethodni izdanjima svrstao u sam vrh evropskih manifesta- cija posvećenih stripu. U skladu sa ta- kvom praksom za ovogodišnje izdanje, koje će se održati od 5. do 10. septem- bra na više od deset lokacija u Herceg Novom i Boki, među specijalnim gosti- ma naći će se i veliko umetničko ime iz Sjedinjenih Američkih Država Kari Ren- dolf, superzvezda britanske stripovske i filmske umetnosti Mark Simpson, po- znatiji kao Jock, Eduardo Riso i Fransoa Buk. U Herceg Novom će tim povodom koncerte imati Ida Prester & Lollobrigi- da, Artan Lili i drugi.
T he Association of Comic Book Enthusiasts and the Herzeg Novi Comic Festi- val were founded in 2007 by visual artist and com- ic book creator Nikola Ćurčin with the aim of popularising the ninth art, while this festival is also designed as a cultur- al event that extends Montenegro’s sum- mer tourist season. The programme has to date includ- ed many top comic book artists and the performances of a large number of famous music artists, while all pro- grammes remain free of charge again this year, as has always been the case. Each year sees the annual Herzeg No-
vi Comic Festival reaffirm the quality of previous editions that have led to it be- ing ranked among the very top European events focused on comics. In accordance with this tradition, the special guests of this year’s edition – set to unfold at more than ten locations in Herceg Novi and around the Bay of Kotor from 5 th to 10 th September – will include great American comic book artist Khary Randolph, Brit- ish superstar cartoonist Mark Simpson, better known by the pen name Jock, Ar- gentine comic artist Eduardo Risso and France’s François Boucq. Concerts will also be performed in Herceg Novi by, among others, Ida Prester & Lollobrigida and the band Artan Lili.
