Rimfire The Winchester Defender rimfire offering in 22 Win. Mag deploys energy and penetration when needed most. Centerfire Rifle Defender centerfire rifle ammunition uses Split Core Technology to provide ideal balance between expansion, retained weight and penetration. Specifically designed for modern sporting rifles, this is ideal ammunition for personal defense situations. Shotshell Slug & Buckshot - The slug and buckshot combo round features a black oxide high-base head and 3 pellets of Grex buffered 00 plated buckshot nested on top of a 1 oz rifled slug. Segmenting Slug - The segmenting slug features a black oxide high-base head and a 1 oz segmenting rifled slug. Upon impact, the slug breaks into three equal segments compensating for aim error and providing critical penetration.
