- Keith Bonilla, Rochester School for the Deaf
“Participating in the Aerial Drone Competition has helped a lot with teamwork. I’ve learned leadership at moments when you don’t have someone else on your team or when you have to go scout for someone for your alliance. It helps with understanding more about current technology and how drones work, and that’s a good thing to have for future careers.” - Dominic, Drone Pilot “Learning from JROTC definitely helped with drones because you’re taught to be disciplined, the time management, you’re definitely more aware of your surroundings and then drone flips and helps you with teamwork, communication, missions and all this and that flips over to helping you in JROTC. So they both work well with each other.” - Alex, Slidell High School, Louisiana, Team 26581A “The more we can expose students to the variety of opportunities that exist within aeronautics, especially at a young age, the better it is for them to make an informed choice so as they continue through high school, they can continue these types of opportunities that could lead into that career field later in life.” - Kris Copeland, Vice President, Tulsa Community College
