Speaker Biographies
Hassan Hamdar- SERC Hassan Hamdar joined SERC in July of 2019 when the Florida Reliability Coordinating Council (FRCC) merged its Regional Entity operations with SERC. He is part of the Situational Analysis/Event Assessment department at SERC, where he handles all event analysis and coordinates NERC Alerts for the Region. During his 11 years at FRCC, Hassan worked in various roles. His main focus was event analysis and situational awareness, but he was also responsible for misoperations reporting and system operator training. Hassan has a Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of South Florida and a NERC Certified System Operator.
