500 of them across the globe. And although the job has kept him busy for 25 years, it’s a bit like the tree that hides the forest because the interior designer based in the capital’s prestigious Avenue Montaigne has numerous other major projects in his portfolio. Just to mention those he has carried out with Claire Bétaille, his partner since 2012, there is the transformation of internationally renowned vineyards including Château Latour, Château Troplong Mondot, Le Clos de Tart, and Clos Rougeard. This however doesn’t mean that this has become their agency’s specialty. “On the contrary, we are very diversified” Bruno Moinard is quick to point out. If proof be needed, check out what they did not only at the Plaza Athénée Palace Hotel in Paris but also at the Cala di Volpe hotel in Sardinia, where they favoured plaster, reed screens and terracotta to create a luxurious rustic feel. what matters most to them is customer enthusiasm and satisfaction. For example, Jean Imbert wonderstruck by the design of a magical forest for his gourmet restaurant at Disneyland. Idem for the Chinese owners of the Capella Hotel in Macau, always up for a bit of OTT. And what about the restaurant they’re creating for the Japanese capital’s tallest building the Tokyo Torch? For a restaurant or a hotel, they allow for a touch of fantasy creating decors that tell a story, such as in Florence’s Excelsior or Budapest’s Klotild Palace. However, particularly for projects for private individuals, they above all seek to achieve a soft and comfortable modernity, with fluid lines, beautiful volumes and subtle lighting, not forgetting furniture stamped Bruno Moinard Editions…
