13 Valleys Night Bus For our runners who think they may finish during Saturday night of the event, we recognise travel options from the finish can be difficult. There will be a night bus which will operate at approximately hourly intervals outside of public bus service hours.
Operating from 22:00 until 08:15 this service will take you from the finish line to Grasmere and Ambleside only.
We strongly recommend booking your ticket in advance, so we have an idea of expected passenger numbers. If there is any chance you may need the service, it’s worth securing your place ahead of time, as there are no sleeping or overnight facilities available at the finish. Subject to availability, tickets will also be available to purchase on the night. Tickets can be booked here. For information: 27% of our 13 finishers, 82% of our 7 Valleys finishers and 5% of our 5 Valleys finishers arrived at the finish during this time in 2025. Please do give some thought to your onward travel from the finish, and whether this may be a worthwhile investment.
You will not be allowed to stay in the Theatre By The Lake until the first bus on Sunday morning due to the buildings fire regulations.
