The Aurora Regional Fire Museum provides an opportunity to learn about the history of firefighting and fire safety in Aurora and the local region. The museum features multiple permanent and temporary exhibits on two floors (elevator is available). In addition to a guided tour, the main presentation will be about The Great Chicago Fire. From there, head to the Christkindlmarket at RiverEdge Park. The German-style outdoor market features international and local vendors selling unique seasonal items such as Kathe Wolfhardtt blown glass ornaments, pet-friendly gifts, pottery, mugs and nutcrackers. For lunch or snack (your expense) there are so many choices of vendors offering the following: pierogis, potato pancakes, crepes, strudel, raclettes, goulash soup, roasted cinnamon nuts, Bavarian pretzels, macaroons, chocolates and more.
