This guide outlines the Higher Education courses we offer. These are undergraduate courses including Higher Technical Qualifications (HTQs), HNCs, HNDs, degrees, Higher Apprenticeships and Degree Apprenticeships. Our courses are structured to maximise your professional and personal development and skills, giving you the knowledge you’ll need to progress on to further study or skilled employment in your chosen industry. Many of our courses include work placements, ensuring you gain industry experience and have a CV to be proud of when you graduate. Our Higher Education courses are taught across a range of campuses which host the technology and skill-relevant facilities necessary to support your learning, depending on the course you are studying.
You will have regular contact with expert staff who are passionate about their subjects. You’ll be able to contact tutors when you need them and won’t just be ‘another student’ in a group of hundreds. Many of our students say our personal touch is the reason they choose to study here. Most of our campuses are just a short walk from the town centre, and our main Barnsley College University Centre is just a five-minute walk from the transport interchange.
