Food & Beverage Internships

Established in 1908, The Country Club of Virginia has always been among the nation’s largest clubs and is recognized as one of the top country clubs in America. Two campuses offer numerous amenities to the vast membership of 7,600+, including golf, racquet sports, aquatics, fitness, spa, and youth activities. The Club employs a staff of more than 600 in season and has an operating budget in excess of $30 million. The Program Interns will gain exposure to a large and diverse food and beverage operation, with hands-on experience and training and mentorship opportunities. Students will spend the majority of their time in the Poolside Café, the Grill Terrace, and the Banquet department, learning from the most active areas at CCV during the summer months. Interns can expect the following: • Hands-on experience in multiple departments • A mentor from the Club’s Senior Management Team • Exposure to Club governance by attending select Committee Meetings • Supervisory responsibilities in large and diverse outlets • Experiences that can only be gained at one of the largest private clubs in the country • Relationships that will extend beyond the summer • Benchmarking trips to other area clubs • Leadership exposure by leading a major department project • Formal performance review • Possible invitation to return in the fall and help with the annual PGA tournament • Team outings

CCV is home to the PGA TOUR Champions Dominion Energy Charity Classic and recipient of the 2016 & 2017 Players Award.
