Co-Director Notional Educators' Fellowship T ' r u l y , this personal worker who came to see us didn’t help us.” This frank statement was made by a young married woman who joined her husband in making a decision at an evangelistic meeting. They attend ed the counseling session in the Prayer Room after the meeting but came away with no assurance of salvation. Several days later, one of the per sonal workers called at their home. But he did not accomplish much. That was what caused the candid statement of the young housewife. As she put it: “ He seemed to be very much in a hurry. He just sat down and perfunc torily read a passage of Scripture, gave a short prayer and left. For us, this didn’t mean a thing. We needed counseling — real spiritual counsel ing.” Sad to say, this fine young couple continued down through the years without the joy of personal assurance of salvation. They missed the thrill of the new life in Christ. We w ill all admit that if this visitor had been on an important business deal he would have taken time to determine the attitude of the persons involved. But he wasn’t on a business deal. He was out contacting people for the Lord. Apparently he did not realize the seriousness of his mission and that the spiritual life of two peo ple was at stake. Some time after this, tragedy came into this home. It might have been avoided if this personal worker had been spiritually alert. A great opportunity was missed. Jesus was interested in people. All kinds of people. Wherever they were he was interested in them, body and soul. He talked to them along the hot dusty roads, at the side of a well, and even to a man sitting on the branch of a tree. Regardless of how tired he was he was interested in the deepest needs of people. That is one of the reasons that they followed him every where—they knew that he was inter ested in them. How can we catch a deeper interest in people so that we can understand them and help them? Christ’s interest in people should help us. Let us sin cerely pray that we shall become spir itually sensitive to the heart needs of people.

Many of the Lord's people today are seeking a sound investment-income plan. Those who want to give a part of their savings for investment in this Christian enterprise, and at the same time receive regular dividend returns, find this plan meets their needs. When you enter into this type of an agreement with the Bible Institute of Los Angeles, you become an active participant in all of its missionary activities. The investor is given maximum protection, in case of emergency, through the withdrawal clause, which makes possible recovery of funds originally invested. What better way can one receive an income in the Lord's work!
