A 21-year veteran of the sheriff’s office, Lt. Chromik says he’s never had a better job in law enforcement. He says he relishes the work because it not only saves lives and helps break the cycle of addiction, but it also benefits the community as a whole by reducing crime and creating more productive members of society. Add in the relationships participants create with law enforcement and community organizations, and he says he sees the building blocks of a stronger, more unified community. “What we’re giving back to the community is somebody who's looking to get a job and give back,” Lt. Chromik says. “I think it’s a privilege, I honestly think it’s a privilege to do this.”
