Students must begin the program with Foundations of Educational Leadership. Students will need to complete 12 credit hours, and have permission of the academic director prior to enrolling in the internship courses. Students will have a choice of taking: Internship: School Executive II or Capstone in Education.

OVERVIEW

Learning Outcomes Graduates will:

• Become successful leaders who drive change in complex systems, develop high-quality instruction, and sustain a culture of improved outcomes for all students. • Master essential topics including educational leadership, instruction, administration, and data-driven improvement. • Gain evidence-based knowledge and professional skills to lead diverse and inclusive teams across various demographics and promote culturally responsive teaching. • Develop key skills and competencies for thoughtful leadership such as communication, change management, creative problem-solving, emotional intelligence, and self-awareness. • Complete a year-long internship that puts their new knowledge into practice.

Length: 2 years (go faster or slower if you need to)

Start Dates: 3 per year (Fall, Spring, Summer) Tuition: $36,060 (scholarships are available for North Carolina educators) This program offers two pathways—non-licensure and licensure for eligible educators in North Carolina.
