The 2024 Walk Like MADD Minnesota event is MADD's signature fundraising event to help us raise both awareness and funds to eliminate drunk and drugged driving. Last year we had over 400 participants
survivors themselves. Walk Like MADD helps fund volunteers & staff to be able to provide emotional support & services for victims, conduct awareness and research-based prevention programs for underage drinking, support law enforcement, and work with state and local legislators to adopt together laws, including requiring ignition interlocks for all DUI offenders.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) runs a national campaign called "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" to raise awareness of the dangers of driving while impaired by drugs or alcohol. NHTSA KICKS OFF THEIR ANNUAL DRIVE SOBER OR GET PULLED OVER CAMPAIGN In 2024, the enforcement period for the Labor Day campaign will be August 16–September 2, The enforcement period for the Winter Holidays campaign will be December 13, 2024–January 1, 2025.
