WHY NOW... EVENT PROPOSAL Why Not A Gala...
CHARITY CONCERT
The traditional approach to fundraising through galas (even though widely used) is not the most effective strategy for small nonprofits. These methods are often costly, not relationship-based, and only sometimes lead to long- term success. Galas usually require a tremendous amount of staff time and a large volunteer base, which we do not have. Large nonprofits and schools have more significant and active communities to draw and a culture surrounding the expectation of attending a gala. In acknowledging these limitations and considering shifting our fundraising strategies towards a more relationship-based and community approach, we have the opportunity to build our legacy of fundraising. By doing so, we can expand our community, continuously reevaluate our client demographics, and organically draw in corporate sponsors and new donors while converting our younger families into supporters. In the past, our top fundraising event brought in $110,000.00 in 2018. On average, the events broke even or raised a small amount , with no plan for growth or sponsorship development. Most MC events have had low attendance and relied on our current families. We have to step up and ask a larger question: "Are we investing in relationship-based fundraising?" And "Will this build relationships for our organization?" This shift aligns with our mission and values of emphasizing the importance of community, engagement, and long-term partnerships. What's required here is courage. We need the courage to take the leap and offer a fresh perspective on community building, name recognition, fundraising, and new donor and client cultivation . This will require a collective effort from the board, staff, and stakeholders, none of which can be achieved through a tired, boring gala.

EVENT GROWTH 5 YEAR PLAN
2024 & 2025 For the first 2 years, we would concentrate on the concert aspect and on building an event with our charity. This would be a public event. The first year to showcase the event followed by Sponsorship recruitment the following year. ROI growth based on sponsorships.
2026 & 2027
To elevate the event and maintain its size but increase sales, we would expand to the square to add more To-Do’s to the event. We would have bars, food, bull-riding, and then end with a concert. Projected revenue $567,400 1,100 guests @ $350 per person based on performer.
2028
We could keep the 26/27 year layout, or we could adopt the first 2 years/ concert only and sell up to 8,000 tickets. Ticket sales alone would generate $800,00 @ $100 per person .
