BOLU'S STORY.
Hi everyone, I’m Bolu! One great thing I love about WBS is its personal care for our careers and future plans. The CareersPlus & Employer Relations team offered clear direction to me, with advice tailored to my personal aspirations and passions. I also learned first-hand from alumni about their career journeys and vital things to note when making job applications. I now work as a Learning & Operations Specialist at the British Red Cross. It’s a role that blends purpose with practice, and it's incredibly rewarding. I’m part of the central learning team, where I manage the Learning Management System - a core information system. Working for an organisation rooted in humanitarian values adds deeper meaning and career satisfaction. My MSc course laid a strong foundation for my career, as it offered both theory and practicality, encouraging us to apply our learning. My MSc experience at Warwick honed my critical thinking, which has been indispensable in a dynamic, systems-driven role. I’d describe WBS as challenging, transformative, and fulfilling. I was inspired to utilise this critical thinking and express myself confidently. I broadened my worldview and connected with people from all over the world. Beyond the classroom, I made memories that I’ll always value. I had fun and made lasting friendships; it was a defining chapter in my life. Good luck! Bolu Buraimoh. Learning & Operations Specialist, British Red Cross, MSc Management of Information Systems & Digital Innovation
