Education and training

Relevant certified/accredited technical training or intermediate professional qualification and practical experience e.g. surveying, construction, project management, maintenance management, trade apprenticeship. Technical knowledge and understanding of building fabric and construction, legislation and maintenance requirements across a diverse estate; Experience and understanding of service procurement and contractor management; Ability to undertake detailed surveys/inspections, draft specifications, drawings, plans, service standards and project briefs etc. and issue clear work instructions; A good understanding of planned maintenance with an ability to schedule work effectively; Technical and legislative knowledge to support and advise on a range of building regulations and best practice. Technical knowledge and ability to to undertake first response diagnostic fault finding to deliver effective, customer focused solutions; An understanding and practical application of relevant Health and Safety legislation; Budget management experience. A good understanding of Cafm and other systems with an ability to analyse and interpret data; Conversant with developments in sustainability and environmental issues, including energy conservation; Accredited/certified training with a detailed understanding and awareness of asbestos regulations and policies; Qualified to P405 or equivalent in asbestos management
