Dual Language Models
To focus the majority of instruction on Spanish (90%) while introducing English (10%) for early language acquisition Note: Not to be confused with Bilingual Transitional, since the goal here is full bilingualism and biliteracy in English and Spanish. To split instruction equally between Spanish and English, regardless of student composition Note: Not to be confused with Bilingual Maintenance, since the goal here is full bilingualism and biliteracy in English and Spanish. To split instruction equally between Spanish and English for students who belong to different linguistic traditions Note: Not to be confused with One-Way Immersion, since the goal here is working with students across linguistic backgrounds. Also known as TWI. To split instruction equally between Spanish and English for students who belong to the same linguistic tradition (Spanish) Note: Also not to be confused with Two-Way Immersion since the goal here is to work only with students who share the same linguistic background.
